WINTER Dress in your winter woollies and enjoy everything the Park has to offer. The crowds have thinned out, giving your family an even more relaxed atmosphere. Near the summit, drop by the Castle Cafe and warm yourself with our speciality coffee or hot chocolate and maybe indulge in a delicious warm muffin. Our hot chips and toasted sandwiches are also a popular item on the menu at this time of year. As usual, the Cafe and Kiosk are open on weekends, public and school holidays. Although we are an outdoor facility, a few passing showers won't hinder your day at all. The Park itself is open every single day from 10am. Admission is to 4pm and once you’re in you can stay until 5pm.
NEW PROJECTS The latest project sees ‘Pop’ the Magic Dragon undergoing a makeover. After decades exposed to the elements, he was looking a bit tired. He’s flown away but the good news is that ‘Pop’ is going to get his mojo back! He’ll be transformed to create a scene that will be simply breathtaking. Complete with a new viewing platform (so that the kids can get up real close) will create an irresistible photo opportunity that we sure you will all love.
GARDENS These will eventually grow to form mini-forests, adding even more mystical atmosphere and enchantment. FYI these trees are commonly known as a Himalayan or Indian Cedar and form a graceful weeping habit that look simply beautiful as a feature or in clusters. After 10 years of drought we have lost many native trees and shrubs but these hardy plants have withstood all weather conditions and continued to thrive. |
